PSYCHICO HOUSE AMARYLLIDOS STREET
Athens, Greece
design: 1995
area: 300 m2
The house is situated in a suburban residential area of Athens, Following the client’s demands, all living spaces are on the ground level, while three bedrooms occupy the top floor.
By employing retaining walls to take up the slight existing slope, the landscape is constrained to a rectilinear volumetric scheme which is interwoven into the house’s own geometry. By means of this structural landscape that spirals up to the building itself, the project attempts to question the notion of the free standing suburban house as a representation of the classical villa and seeks to intensify its underlying urban identity.
